How to reach people who use drugs online?

Bip.Brussels - Agora
Due to the spreading phenomenon of New Psychoactive Substances (NPS) and the increase of their consumption throughout Europe, as well as the general lack of online information about NPS’ effects and possible harms for young consumers, the aim of Click for Support – REALized is to develop a web-based intervention (WBI) aimed at young NPS consumers (14-25 years). This project (cofunded by the European Commission) is the follow-up of the ‘Click for Support’ project of 2014-2015 in which guidelines for effective WBIs in selective drug prevention have been developed. The main objective of the project is to develop a web-based intervention in the form of a responsive website and application for mobile devices. The WBI called 'Mindyourtrip' contains general information, a self-assessment test, and intervention modules on NPS. In every participating country two rounds of focus groups with the target group were organised to get feedback on the content, design, promotion strategy of the offer. An important aspect of the project is reaching the target group online and offline.
