INA is a member of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNTWO) and its main objective is to promote quality, safety and excellence in the nightlife sector and this way improving the nightlife sector’s image. INA also offers nightlife entrepreneurs the tools necessary to do so by giving training, access to expert consultants and the opportunity for cooperation and exchange of ideas. INA has developed three international seals regarding safety, acoustic quality and quality of service. Said seals make up the “Triple Excellence in Nightlife”, leading to a great improvement in the image and prestige of said sector.
In summary, INA is certifying that the venue in question is safe and cares for the hearing protection of clients, workers, and neighbours so that the venue may promote itself internationally by gaining prestige and going above and beyond minimum requirements. The venue has to meet with certain criteria and basic requirements to be able to achieve these distinctions, these criteria are evaluated by INA’s collaborating technical staff, for example, having portable metal detectors, or having earplugs available if noise levels reach over 90 dBA. Having these seals is very useful for nightlife venues since travellers can’t know in advance if a certain venue meets safety requirements or takes care of clients’ hearing health so, through these seals travellers and their relatives can know in advance where they are going to, and if the venue is doing everything in its power for the client to have a safe enjoyable night.
