Laurent was active in the event sector between 1987 and 1997. Most of these years were spent providing IT services to Film Festivals, but also to nightlife venues like the Mirano Continental. Since 1997, he moved on providing IT consulting and project management for a number of international organisations. He recently returned to the Brussels event scene to start the Brussels Memory Lane project.

Unlike in movies, there are no ending credits to events. Events organizers ,and all the work they and their teams have done, quickly vanish into oblivion. This absence of structured and acknowledged past not only poses the problem of memory loss and absence of recognition but, maybe more importantly, it jeopardizes the future. No thing can be build without foundations. We are digitizing lost archives, enriching them with present day video testimonies and use these treasures of the past to produce a wide range of outputs: Full blown public events, exhibitions, documentary movies, video web series, audio pod casts, books publishing and material for academic studies. In a nutshell Brussels Memory Lane’s motto is: Showing the beauty of past Events' history in Brussels to inspire the Future.
