Project Leader

Liese Kingma is a project leader at Clubcommission Berlin who focuses on the implementation of simplified access to public space for Free Open Air events. She has experience with activation of underutilized spaces in Amsterdam and Berlin, whilst operating as an intermediary between grassroot culture, night time economy and Politics. Next to that she was a coordinator for Berlin for the European Program ‘Enter The Void – Re-thinking urban spaces through youth and underground music culture’ and she is now curator of the Stadt nach Acht-NIGHTS conference. In 2015 Kingma moved from Amsterdam to Berlin to advocate electronic underground music culture and currently changing the legal and bureaucratic framework of electronic music events in the public space of Berlin with the Model Space Project, which is funded by the Senate of Culture and Europe.
