Started working for the Belgian federal police in 2002. After working for the general director of administrative police she changed her career and became head of operations in Mechelen. In 2014 she became chief commissioner. Since two years she has the operational lead of the police at the music festival “Tomorrowland”.

The music festival "Tomorrowland" is known as the biggest dance festival in the world. Each year people from 200 countries come to the festival. Unfortunately there is a lot of drug(ab)use on the festival. That is why the public prosecutor's office and the police developed a policy called "immediate judicial conciliation". The policy makes a difference between people who use drugs and dealers. The people who use drugs have to pay a fine and leave the event immediately. The dealers are arrested by a special police squad. The dealers have to appear in court in a joint session. This way we try to signal that drug(ab)use is not tolerated.
