After starting her work at the safer-nightlife-project Drug Scouts from Leipzig, Germany in 2013 as a voluntary peer, Pia Eigenstetter could collect experiences during different kinds of Safer-Nightlife- and Psy-Care-interventions throughout Europe.
Now, as an employee of the Project as a Social Worker she is responsible, amongst other things, for counselling, the training of the peers and the coordination of (peer-)interventions.

For a lot of festival-visitors taking drugs is part of the deal at a festival. But when the party's over, driving home by car might not be a good idea and can bring some difficulties. It's the police's responsibility to take care of safe traffic. At a lot of festivals in Germany, it became standard for the police to check the drivers on drugs afterwards. Is it useful to give the visitors the opportunity to check themselves first before the police do? The concept of counselling drivers after a festival helps them to get home safe.
